Julie Doar Sinkfield
Ms.
Doar-Sinkfield has worked in independent and charter schools as both a
teacher and administrator, with students from nursery school to
college. With a background in African-American History and Sociology,
she specialized in education and social inequality while in graduate
school and has applied her academic background to heading education
programs for students at all levels. She has also worked as a Program
Director for a volunteer center coordinating community service events
to benefit DCPS and DCPCSB schools. Ms. Doar-Sinkfield is an online
professor of Sociology for Strayer University. [B.A. African-American

Nadia Casseus Tourney
Ms.
Casseus, a former teacher and school director, has worked with students
of all ages and has provided supervision to large numbers of adults. In
addition to working as the Director of a DCPCSB charter school, Ms.
Casseus also worked as a supervisor for the DCPS Office of Special
Education. She has many years of experience in both the legal and
academic needs of special learners and is currently completing and
Ed.D. with a focus on Special Education. Ms. Casseus is also a member
of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. [B.A. Psychology and Early

Mary Robbins
Ms.
Robbins brings more than a decade of arts education experience with her
to WEDJ PCS focusing on curriculum and arts integration. In addition to
being a performer herself, Ms. Robbins directs, produces and stage
manages children’s theatre throughout the DC area. A trained singer and
actor, she has taught Theater, Music, English/Language Arts and worked
as a Professional Developer in Literacy in Washington, DC and
Baltimore. Ms. Robbins has continued her own education with studies at
The Kennedy Center, Folger Shakespeare Library and Yale School of
